On the back I really want it to have some pieces that speak to me and are meaningful to me. First, I added a leaping stag because my last name is Buck and I wanted a leaping one in particular because not only am I a Buck but I am one that leaps around and dances! Next, a “sash” of flowers to symbolize my name being “Lily”. Also, I put in a Celtic symbol dog paw because I absolutely love dogs and have lived my whole life surrounded with them and want to be a veterinarian when I grow up. I wanted a homage to that on my dress to symbolize my love for them. I added the word “shine”, I said to myself, “What is one word that every dancer should try to embody before walking out onto that stage?”, my answer, shine, how do you want to feel while you are dancing out there? Like you are shining, so I thought what is better than that constant reminder with me to shine when I walk on stage and to be alongside me while I do just that. Lastly, on the front of my dress I want there to be suns/flowers to represent and to be like Rapunzel’s suns because ever since a young age I have adored that specific Disney Princess and what better place have a homage of that then on a dress that will make me feel like a Disney princess.
