My mom and I wanted to design a dress that really sparkles on stage, has a beautiful purple design (purple is my dance school's color) and a pop of color on the back. We searched for inspiration on couture fashion sites and were inspired by the beautiful design of a shawl/wrap sweater that had a leaf detail along the bottom edge. We thought it would look beautiful incorporated into the design of an Irish Step dress and have never seen anything like it done before. We love how it turned out!
