I like red and gold together. Imagine some red velvet against shiny gold stones : )
I added flames because they repressent passion and energy (which I have a lot of!). The blue is to make it pop a bit more and because that is one of the hottest parts of the flame.
I love the dragons from Harry Potter - the colours from Gryffindor are my inspriration. I hope you like it : )
